Now how about just post questions you want to ask the crew and we will read and answer the questions in a crew podcast.

Ask whatever you want like "What exactly do you really do?" or "Why do you walk across the stage so many times before the show?" You know, things like that are fair game.

Post your questions in the comments section for this post.

how cool is this. i know you all have so many responsibilities to take care of before a show, how is it you still manage to find the time to be nice to us styxchycs, and always with a smile on you alls face? in walworth i met a gorgeous little man by the name of miles. he was so cute, and his mother was very nice to me. say hello to jason p as i do have the photo of him i took at the bus in walworth! you guys are amazing, to do what you do.
thank you margaret

How long does it take you guys on average to set up for a show? How long for tear down? What is the hardest venue you've worked? I still don't know how you set up the mountain top at Kellogg, Idaho!

What a great idea! How about introducing us to each member of the Styx crew? You could tell us things like their name, where they are from, what their job is, how long they have worked for Styx, and if they worked for any other bands.

This is a question for Paulie, are all the different sounds produced by Larrys keyboard programed into it, does he have to do anything to make the sound for a perticular song happen?

I love this! and I've got lots of questions.

Hey Denise...I think you mean Larry's tech Ross. Paulie is Todd's tech!

I really enjoyed the photos you posted of all the different equipment. Gives us a chance to see what a show is really made up of. Let's face it, we've seen the show many times from out front, but it's really cool to see what it takes to put it on. You guys (and you, too, Libby!)are great!

You're right Judy, I couldn't rember if it was Ross or Paulie... sorry!

I also have a question for Greg or JJ, do you change strings on the guitars every show and what do you do with the old strings?

I want to thank you for the wonderful webcams. We truly enjoy watching the concerts when they are on. We have had the most fun in the styxworld chat room while they are on. My question is: Is it possible to add a zoom to the cams? Some shows when the stage is so large, the boys are so far from the cam to truly enjoy the show. Thanks for all you do for us fans.

Ok I am gunna try this again so if it posts you know it worked this time. Sometimes it is hard to get signed in and posted.

While watching the web cams preshow we have noticed a lady on the stage. Many times looking up in the air. Looks like she is praying, which she might be but I figure she is working with the lighting. Can you tell us her name and what her job related activities are? Also are there any other ladys on the crew?

Thanks Cookie for giving us this opportunity to get to know the crew better. You do an awesome job with the cams and we are very grateful to be able to view the shows through them. Sometimes we sit at home and send you telepahthical suggestions to fix the cams in one way or another you always seem to hear us because next thing we know what ever the problem was it is corrected. LOL

I don't know when we're going to get answers to these questions, but I know this one, the only lady on the crew is Libby, she is the lighting director. You'll see her back at the FOH sound board during the show running the lights. If you ever get a chance talk with her do it, she's very friendly, very smart and very good a what she does, but then again all the crew is good at what they do. Its got to be tough being the only girl in manland!

I am waiting to get a reasonable amount of questions and plan on making the crew record a podcast on our next long bus ride (Vegas to Colorado Springs....14 hour ride)

Thanks Cookie! We can't wait for the Crew Cast!

Oh and I have to laugh that we are answering some of our own crew questions (denise and patti!) LOL

By the way, It would be cool to hear how Libby puts us with you guys! Gotta love her!

I would like to know, how you got started in this profession, what kind of education you have and how much do you like what you do.

How many of you are traveling on the bus normally and whats it like living in such close quarters to your fellow crew members.

I told you I have lots of questions!

How about more photos/info on the backline equipment like the guitar rigs, keyboard sounds? I'm a tech nerd and would love to here/see more about the guitar/keyboard setups.

Since the very first webcam concert, I have been wondering this. I noticed a large letter T taped to the floor behind Tommy's mic. What is the purpose of that? Thanks Kim

OK asked, so here goes: What is in the toybox? This could take 14 hours to explain!!! *GRIN*

On a more serious note, to be good at tuning and maintaining equipment, one usually plays themselves. What are each of the crewmember's personal musical interests? Are there any recorded materials available to hear?

Chiming in on the crew cudos...You all kick major ASS! Thanks for putting up with all our shizbit and adding a bit of your own! Makes the trips fun and worthwile to see your smiling faces each time! :) Our little stories are quite fun too!

You Rock!

I have another question, what beverage is in the mugs that I see the guyz drinking from during the show, I suspect it is throat coat tea.

Also what is in the little brown bottle on Tommy's stand?

This is great!
